Airport transportation in Vienna

Vienna Airport is centrally located. You can reach the airport quickly by a City Airport Train, S-Bahn (suburban railway) or bus.

City Airport Train / CAT

The City Airport Train operates daily every 30 minutes from 06:06 to 23:36 (05:36 to 23:06 outward). The CAT takes just 16 minutes nonstop to get from the airport to central Vienna and vice versa. A separate CAT counter is located in the arrivals hall, where you can obtain information about all CAT services, purchase a ticket and much more. The City Air Terminal in the city centre is located at Wien-Mitte which is easily reached by public transport.

Please note that there is a City Check-in service exclusively reserved to CAT customers. CAT customers can check-in their baggage
and receive their boarding passes up to 75 minutes before departure at the City Air Terminal at Wien-Mitte.

S-Bahn 7 / Suburban railway

The Schnellbahn (S-Bahn) is a low-priced way of getting from Vienna to the airport and back. It operates daily every 30 minutes from 4:30 to 23:45 (4:56 to 0:17 outward). The S7 takes roughly 25 minutes from the airport to central Vienna.
Ticket machines are on the platforms at the airport and at Wien-Mitte.

Vienna has an excellent public transportation network including buses, trams and metro trains.
